RedAvaDesigns will be participating with Remix Chicago as part of the 20th Annual Wells Street Art Festival Festival. The festival includes 225 juried artists, and takes place this Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10, 10am to dusk both days, on Wells Street between North Avenue and Division. Remix Chicago is Chicago’s first festival featuring art that’s drawn from outside the margins: A refreshing remix of indie and craft art made from handmade, recycled, and found materials. Please visit us at the Remix tent, located at Scott and Wells Streets!
RedAvaDesigns will be selling select items at the Evanston Made Pop-Up Shop, from June 1-30, open every day (hours vary). Evanston Made is an annual celebration in June that showcases artists who live or work in Evanston. Opening reception is this Friday, June 1st, from 6-9pm, at the Evanston Art Center, 1717 Central, and I will be there. A portion of proceeds from sales benefits programs at the Evanston Art Center.
It’s finally springtime in Chicago, and Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th! RedAvaDesigns will be at three events over the next two weeks, with free admission at all events!
On Saturday, May 5, I’ll be at the Independence Park Neighborhood Association 11th Annual Fine Craft Fair, at the Independence Park Gymnasium, 3945 N. Springfield Ave., Chicago 60618, from Noon to 4 p.m. Over 30 local artisans with original and handmade work will be there.
On Sunday, May 6, I’ll be co-hosting the Week Before Mother’s Day Pop Up Sale at newly-opened Susanhat, 7231 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, from Noon to 5pm. I will be joined by store owner Susan Abelson of Susanhat (maker of one-of-a-kind hats from recycled materials), Jessica Snively of Milton and Margie’s Soy Wax Candles, and Joanne Vena, designer of vintage art aprons. We’ll have complimentary food and beverages too!
And on Wednesday, May 9, I’ll be at the Mother’s Day Gift Market at the Ravenswood Covenant Church at 4900 N. Damen, Chicago, from 4pm to 8pm, with over 20 local artisans. Sponsored by the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce.
I’m excited to announce that I will be in a 4-person show at the Evanston Art Center from April 6-26 in the first-floor gallery space. The show features four enamel artists who explore the boundaries of this beautiful medium, each in a unique way. In addition to jewelry, I’ll be showing all-new wall art and vessels, and all work is for sale.
On Friday, April 6, from 5-8pm, we’ll be having an opening reception for the show, with complimentary food and beverages. All artists will be present, so come out and meet us!
This Saturday, March 10, I’ll be returning to (30 minutes north of Milwaukee), sponsored by Cedarburg High School, featuring 80 artists from the Midwest exhibiting and selling their original work in many artistic disciplines. 10am-5pm.
RedAvaDesigns’ very first event of 2018 is the Handmade Market at The Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western, Chicago, IL! I’ve been working on a few new collections and will be debuting them at the Handmade Market on Saturday, February 10, from 12 noon until 4pm. Walk next door to delicious Bite Cafe for a bite, grab a drink at The Empty Bottle while you shop, and pick up a Valentine’s Day Gift for a loved one or for yourself. More than 30 sellers will be on the premises.
Treat yourself – or someone else – in the new year! This 15% off sale begins Thursday, January 18, and applies to sales in my Etsy shop. It expires on Sunday, January 21, at midnight.
