Join RedAvaDesigns for the 6th annual Krampusfest on Saturday December 8, 2018, 12noon-6pm at Martyrs, 3855 N. Lincoln, Chicago. In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned figure described as “half-goat, half-demon”, who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts.
Krampusfest Artisan Market features local artists and crafters for your holiday shopping. Enjoy housemade Gluhwein (mulled wine) and German street food. Krampus creatures and live music will be at this free and family-friendly event too!

The 14th Annual Lycée French Market transforms Chicago’s French international school into a market filled with local and French artisans selling home décor, jewelry, apparel, gourmet food and more. On Sunday, November 11, I’ll be returning to the Emanuel Congregation Holiday Market, 5959 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, 10am-3pm. From hand-crafted jewelry and accessories, kids’ items, soaps, textiles, home and paper goods, photography to edible goods, you’re sure to find unique gifts at this fun, family-friendly event, as well as supporting local artisans and vendors. Friday, November 16 marks the opening of the Evanston Art Center’s 16th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts Expo, at 1717 Central Street in Evanston, where I’ll have select jewelry for sale. The Expo will feature original work by more than 100 selected artisans, featuring jewelry, fiber, metal, ceramics, glass, painting, photography, mixed-media, and much more. Expo Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-9pm; Sat-Sun 9am-4pm; November 16 (opening day preview party) 6-9pm. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Art Center.

My final outdoor event of 2018 is one of my favorites! I’ll be at the 6th Annual Edgewater Arts Festival, September 29-30, 1030-1140 W. Granville Avenue, between Broadway & Sheridan, from 11am-6pm.
I’ll be at booth #67 on Granville, just east of the Granville Red Line.
The Edgewater Arts Fest is a neighborhood celebration of the arts presented by Edgewater Artists in Motion, a non-profit community organization. The fest is located just off the Granville Red Line stop, and free and metered parking is available around the festival.
Please join RedAvaDesigns at the 17th Annual Ravenswood ArtWalk, Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 15-16, 11am until 6pm. RAW is a dynamic celebration of arts and industry featuring over 300 artists and 50 attractions. We will be in booth #xx, at the outdoor RAW Street Fest, on Ravenswood (between Belle Plaine and Berteau), in front of the Domestic Linens Building.
And on Friday, Sept. 21, from 6pm until 9pm, I’ll be joining Sfizi, a shoe and clothing boutique at 4827 N. Damen, for Damen At Night. The businesses of Damen Avenue in Lincoln Square put on an after-hours party featuring treats, entertainment, and special products for one night only. Sfizi specializes in unique, hard-to-find shoes from all over the world.
RedAvaDesigns is excited to be back at the 33rd Annual Bucktown Arts Festival, at Holstein Park, 2200 N. Oakley Avenue, August 25-26, from 11am-7pm. We‘ll be at booth 110 on Lyndale Avenue, just east of Western.
The Bucktown Arts Fest is a non-profit, all-volunteer run, neighborhood celebration of the arts, also featuring food/beverages, music, performance, and kid’s activities. All proceeds from the fest go to fund and develop arts and music programming at Holstein Park and in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhoods. Admission is free.

This Saturday and Sunday, August 18-19, I’ll be back at one of my favorite events, the Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival! The fest takes place at the intersection of Morse and Glenwood Avenues in Rogers Park, from 11am-9pm. My booth number is 146 on Morse (north side of the street), just west of Glenwood.
The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest (GAAF) is a free, weekend-long arts festival that features 100+ artists, open studios, and live entertainment on three outdoor stages. Experience art of all disciplines, music, theater, food and drink on the cobblestone streets of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District in Chicago’s historic Rogers Park neighborhood.
