This Saturday and Sunday, December 9 & 10, RedAvaDesigns will be at the Bucktown Holiday ArtShow, Holstein Park Field House, 2200 N. Oakley, Chicago, from 12-5 pm.
The Bucktown Holiday ArtShow offers art from all media, from ceramics to photography, watercolors to oils, jewelry to textiles. 100 artists participate in the ArtShow. Don’t miss out on the Silent Auction benefiting adults with developmental disabilities, where you can find great deals on donations from artists in the ArtShow.
EL PATRON will be the food truck offering delicious tacos, and live DJ AKUMAL will be providing great music for the event. $2/person at the door.

And on Sunday, December 3, we’ll be at Uprising Craft Holiday Market, Olivia’s Garden, 10730 S. Western, in Beverly, from 12-5 pm.
The Beverly Area Arts Alliance will host its 2nd annual Uprising Craft Holiday Market with more than 40 Illinois makers and artisans with a variety of unique, handmade items. Crème of the Crop food truck—a Beverly Art Walk favorite—and Coco’s Tamales will offer tasty treats, while Ruta Spenser, dj at St. Xavier University’s WXAV radio station, will spin not-your-average holiday tunes. Olivia’s Garden will also be selling Christmas trees and greenery.
It’s Black Friday (November 24) for night owls! RedAvaDesigns is excited to be back at this 6th annual holiday shopping event along with over 30 highly curated booths offering handmade gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list! Support your local artists while enjoying yummy Irish comfort food, your favorite spirits, and jolly holiday music!
Doors open at 5pm and the event runs until 10pm. The first 50 people through the door get a grab bag full of goodies. They won’t last long, so get here early!

Friday, Nov. 17 marks the opening of the Evanston Art Center’s 15th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts Expo, at 1717 Central Street in Evanston, where I’ll have select jewelry for sale. The Expo will feature original work by more than 100 juried artisans. Expo Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-9pm; Sat-Sun 9am-4pm; November 17 (opening day preview party) 6-9pm. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Art Center.
RedAvaDesigns has just one event for October 2017 and it’s at the Handmade Market at The Empty Bottle in Ukrainian Village, this Saturday, October 14, from noon until 4pm. Walk next door to Bite Cafe for a bite, and grab a drink at The Empty Bottle while you shop. More than 30 sellers will be on the premises. Admission is free. I look forward to seeing you there!

My final outdoor event of 2017 is one of my favorites! I’ll be at the Edgewater Arts Festival, 1030-1140 W. Granville Avenue, just east of Broadway, September 23-24, from 11am-6pm. The Edgewater Arts Fest is a neighborhood celebration of the arts presented by Edgewater Artists in Motion, a non-profit community organization. The fest is located just off the Granville Red Line stop, and free and metered parking is available around the festival.
I’ll be at booth 62 on Granville, just east of the Granville Red Line, and I look forward to seeing you there!
It’s RedAvaDesigns’ last event of Summer 2017! I’m excited to be back at the 32st Annual Bucktown Arts Festival, at 2200 N. Oakley Avenue, August 26-27, from 11am-7pm. The Bucktown Arts Fest is a non-profit, all-volunteer run, neighborhood celebration of the arts. All proceeds from the fest go to fund and develop arts and music programming at Holstein Park and in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhoods. Admission is free.

This Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20, I’ll be back at one of my favorite events, the Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival! The fest takes place at the intersection of Morse and Glenwood Avenues in Rogers Park, from 11am-9pm. My booth number is 172 on Morse (north side of the street), just west of Glenwood.
The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest (GAAF) is a free, weekend-long arts festival that features 100+ artists, open studios, and live entertainment on three outdoor stages. Experience art of all disciplines, music, theater, food and drink on the cobblestone streets of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District in Chicago’s historic Rogers Park neighborhood.
This Sunday, August 6, I’ll be at the Made in Chicago Market, sponsored by the Chicago Reader. The market takes place at Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington, Chicago, from 11am-5pm.
It’s indoors and air-conditioned, and admission and parking are free! Find beautiful, locally-made jewelry, accessories, apparel, housewares and more, as well as many delicious food and drink vendors. I hope to see you then!
My bronze Double Arch Ring was just purchased as the signature ring for actor Juno Temple in the sci-fi series “Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams”. The series will be out this fall in the UK on Channel 4, and then on Amazon Prime! Juno’s stunt double gets one too!
