Now in its fourth year, the Edgewater Arts Festival is rapidly growing into one of Chicago’s premier artistic events. It combines fine art with a unique, contagious “block party” atmosphere. Each year, the Festival hosts an impressive multi-cultural and multi-generational lineup of Chicago artists and attracts thousands of art lovers and buyers coming from all over the city.

This weekend, June 4 & 5, I’ll be at the Hyde Park Community Art Fair at Bixler Park, 57th Street and Kenwood, from 11am to 6pm, both days. Started in 1974, this is one of the oldest art fairs in the country and runs concurrently with the 57th Street Art Fair. Victory Gardens Theater contacted me to provide jewelry for the promotional photography for their newest production, The House That Will Not Stand, set in 1836 New Orleans, and opening in June. I sat in on the photo shoot and took a few pics of my own. It was exciting to see the actors wearing my pieces! Can’t wait to see the photographer’s work.
